December 30, 2008: North Star to Exhibit Keystone at MNLA Green Expo

North Star Stone and Masonry will be exhibiting Keystone Retaining Wall Systems at the MNLA Green Expo January 7-9, 2009 at the Minneapolis Convention Center.   North Star and Keystone representatives will be available to answer any questions you may have about North Star Stone and Masonry and our new position as the region’s Keystone licensee.

We invite you all to stop in and meet us at as well as join us for the Hardgoods Hospitality Reception on Thursday, January 8.  The reception will be held on the second level of the Hyatt Regency in the Greenway Ballroom from 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm.

December 12, 2008: North Star Announces Keystone Aqusition

North Star Stone and Masonry is proud to announce we will be acquiring the license to manufacture Keystone Retaining Wall Products just after the first of the year.  We are excited to push forward and excel in the landscaping industry by focusing on quality, availability, and service.
We recognize that there will be some challenging hurdles to overcome with this new endeavor, but we are looking forward to creating a strong, sustainable product and offering the exceptional service North Star Stone & Masonry is proud to be known for.

New Company Combines Rochester Brick, Mankato Brick and Concrete Materials

March 25, 2008: Rochester, Medford and Mankato, Minn.

Rochester Brick, Mankato Brick and Concrete Materials today announced that they are joining resources to form North Star Stone and Masonry, LLC. The new company will provide brick, stone, decorative block, concrete masonry units (CMUs) masonry supplies, and hardscape and landscape materials to builders, architects and homeowners.

The companies have joined forces to provide enhanced product availability, ordering and delivery services and convenient showroom locations.

“What the new North Star Stone and Masonry offers is impressive. But it is equally important to note that customers will still be working with the same faces and the same ownership they’ve come to know and trust,” said Pat Kelly, general manager of North Star Stone and Masonry. “Our people are a key component of the value we provide to our customers, and this won’t change.”

During the months-long transition, customers will begin to see the North Star Stone and Masonry logo appear on buildings, vehicles, signage, advertising and an all-new web site. “With more locations, more products, and enhanced distribution, we’re gearing up to better serve southern Minnesota, including the greater Twin Cities with concrete masonry units,” added Kelly.
